WHAT WE DO
We're on a mission to facilitate
Sustainable agriculture & food security, higher incomes, & climate resilience.
IAI is a youth-led NGO in East Africa that tackles climate change and its impact on communities. We focus on three key areas: climate-smart agriculture (CSA), education, and clean energy. Our team of experienced professionals, both local and regional, works with communities to empower farmers with CSA knowledge, improve access to clean energy for those affected by climate change, and develop sustainable food production solutions for schools. By strengthening community capacity and building partnerships, IAI acts as a bridge, helping communities achieve their vision for a sustainable and equitable future with food security, clean energy, and strong educational systems.

Our Objective and Role:
Climate smart agriculture
Climate change and food and nutrition insecurity pose two of the greatest development challenges of our time and yet a more sustainable food system can not only heal the planet, but ensure food security for all.

Education
Agricultural education can do wonders for children’s development, and it can help them grow up to become responsible, energetic, and self-sufficient adults, as well as contributing to a key part of our overall economy.
Clean Energy
The current dominant use of fossil-based energy resources in the agri-food sector is unsustainable, while millions of farmers and agro-enterprises lack access to reliable, affordable, and clean energy.
